Michael Heimbaugh Mark is a genius and I love this new direction he’s taking with his sound. Shades of NIN, Radiohead, Linkin Park, Portishead and Joy Division come together into a lush, atmospheric, darkly satisfying whole. (Plus, he somehow pulls off a take on “Love Will Tear Us Apart” that’s even more dour and hopeless than the original.) Killer stuff! Favorite track: Sugar Backbone.

Robert Dallas Gray really atmospheric stuff here, inventive production and a distinctive sound and aesthetic coming into focus. a project to keep an eye on. Favorite track: Diptych (Part III).
